Role: Purchase Ledger Administrator

Contract: Maternity cover


Hours: 9am- 5pm Monday to Friday


Start date: As soon as possible


About the Role


Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a vital part in maintaining the daily operations of the Finance Department. You will manage purchase ledger activities and provide financial administrative support, ensuring all financial information is accurate, timely, and aligned with internal procedures.



1. Complete purchase ledger duties within strict deadlines. Oversee ledgers across all Xero accounts, reconcile bank transactions, support cash handling, and process purchase orders.

2. Maintain bank account records and supplier information within Xero.

3. Ensure financial data is accurate and up to date to support cash flow management, reporting, forecasting, and funding decisions.

4. Suggest improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.

5. Ensure required reports and documents are submitted to HMRC and prepared for audits.

6. Accurately handle purchase ledger entries, banking transactions, reconciliations, payments, and reimbursements. Maintain secure and uptodate documentation.



What We're Looking For



7. Demonstratable experience within a similar accounts or purchase ledger role

8. Xero experience

9. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

10. Strong timemanagement skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

11. Capable of managing and interpreting high volumes of data to deliver accurate, highquality information on time.

12. Exceptional accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
