These post are intended to maintain and develop the existing radiology service. The successful candidate will be a general radiologist with Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (or equivalent) and be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of their CCT at the time of interview.
Wide training and experience in general radiology as well as experience in cross-sectional imaging is required. Experience in the following subspecialties is desirable - Uro-Gynae radiology, and Cardiothoracic Radiology to complement the skills of consultant group. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in training and supervision of junior radiologists allocated to the Department
The posts will include sessions at Midland Metropolitan Hospital, Sandwell and City Health Campus the post-holder will be required to work at any of the Trust’s sites, but with minimal cross site travel.
The department has established a DUTY radiologist in the working week, who is the main point of contact, with calls screened by a secretary, minimising interruptions in remaining reporting sessions.
