M&E Building Services Technician - Hatfield, Hertfordshire
The M&E Building Services Technician will report to the Estates Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for the reliable and compliant operation of the estate-wide services and equipment serving all business functions across the client's facility at Hatfield.
The main purpose is to deliver a high standard of mechanical and electrical services throughout the business within the estates engineering team. The team also plans and undertakes routine scheduled maintenance of plant and/or equipment with stakeholders, causing minimal disruption.
On-call (1 in 6) includes attending the site on Saturdays/Sundays and bank holidays to blow down boilers and carry out plant room checks.
Staggered start 37.5 hours one week, starting/finishing (07:30 to 16:00) and the other (09:30 to 18:00) What are we looking for?
Qualification in either:
Electrical engineering, equivalent (BS7671 & C&G 2391)
Mechanical engineering (full-term apprenticeship)
Good verbal and written English skills.Desirable
Educated to ONC/HNCEssential
Use of computer (Windows operating system)
Good awareness of Health and Safety
Multi-Skilled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Experience in domestic and low temperature hot water systems (LTHW).
Motor controls and relay logic
AHU’s, FCU’s and chilled water systems
