We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Workforce Engagement Manager.
This role sits within the Cybersecurity Workforce Management function of GCIO COO and will play a key part in shaping how we plan, manage and evolve our Global Technology workforce to meet business opportunities.
The Engagement Manager will be responsible for shaping and delivering the engagement agenda for Cybersecurity. Working closely with the Head of Workforce Management, the incumbent will define and execute an engagement roadmap which unites and connects individuals across the function as ‘one team’ and aligns to the goals across HSBC Technology (GCIO), and the wider Bank.They will work to ensure the success of internal engagement programmes and will be expected to collaborate and drive work as part of a broader engagement team across multiple technology functions and global regions.
The role holder will build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels including GCIO leadership teams to drive an inclusive culture and enable our people to thrive in their work.

This Is a Pivotal Role In
* Creating a sense of community and belonging across the team, increasing engagement for staff through targeted, meaningful and consistent activity.
* Responsible for shaping and supporting the Group CISO in all inclusion pillar requirements
* Shaping and delivering internal Cybersecurity specific communications and engagement plans that connect back to, and support key strategies across Technology, and the wider Bank.
* Actively representing Cybersecurity in comms and engagement forums.
* Contributing to the agenda and organisation of forums including All Hands, Town Halls, colleague exchanges, and others as appropriate.
* Assisting the Group CISO and their leadership team in creating and disseminating high quality, clear, engaging content for a range of key stakeholders.
* Supporting the Cybersecurity leadership team in identifying and/or driving solutions for targeted learning across the team, such as overseeing creation, maintenance and communication of learning pathways for the Cybersecurity community.
* Driving the year end promotions process and the management of critical role succession plans.
* Supporting and driving knowledge sharing across resources and between service lines by establishing strong networks across GCIO, regions and the broader bank where appropriate.
* Driving DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) by representing the department at, and connecting with, various DEI forums across Technology.
* Driving positive change across the organisation through informal leadership within a network of colleagues who contribute to culture change, comms and engagement.
* Engaging and energising this community to support the Technology Strategy and People Strategy for GCIO.
* Responsible for the end to end talent journey management (inclusive of emerging talent).
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* An experienced engagement professional with a track record of successfully delivering people initiatives across a wide range of topics (including but not limited to; DEI, learning & development, recognition, talent planning etc).
* Ability to create, drive and deliver high quality engagement forums, such as Townhalls, All Hands, exchanges and other colleague information and feedback sessions, to a wide-ranging audience and while collaborating with multiple stakeholders and contributors.
* Previous success designing and implementing high-quality and compelling internal communications that support key messages and relay relevant information in impactful ways.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively with senior executives across multi-regional geographies.
* Ability to manage multiple threads of work under pressure in a large organisation with experience of successfully managing complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders to tight timelines.
* A motivated self-starter who is a strong team player and can work collaboratively at all levels across diverse networks
* HR experience would be preferrable
