FCRMS Asset Management Business Systems Team Senior Advisor
The Environment Agency creates better places for people, wildlife, and the environment. We put the climate emergency at the heart of everything we do and help society adapt to environmental challenges such as flooding, drought, sea‑level rise and coastal change. The Asset Management Business Systems Team supports all EA teams and suppliers in their use of carbon tools, ensuring they become a core asset management system within the infrastructure programme and asset management.
Responsibilities
* Support EA and external users of operational carbon tools.
* Manage and deliver a range of services to users of carbon tools.
* Agree on and maintain services with a variety of user groups.
* Act as a senior product user for digital improvement projects of our carbon tools and data.
* Plan and manage user activities in the implementation of carbon‑tool changes and improvements.
* Manage resources and funding for carbon‑tool support and maintenance.
* Work with operational carbon communities and national leads as required.
* Collaborate with IT suppliers and internal EA teams, including FCRM, Operations teams across England, DDTS, local authorities, water companies, internal drainage boards and the civil engineering supply chain.
Qualifications
* Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes.
* Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services.
* Experience in the development of training and documentation.
* Knowledge and skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
* Ability to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement improved ways of working.
* Ability to take decisions and solve complex business problems.
* A strong focus on efficiency, innovation and quality.
* Strong focus on customers and partners, and ability to build and sustain relationships.
* Ability to manage yourself and work on your own initiative.
Additional Information
The role is predominantly office‑based; occasional travel will be required. Any location for your office base is acceptable. All team members are required to undertake training and participate in incident response when needed; further information regarding incident response and employee benefits is available in the candidate pack. Interviews will be scheduled from week commencing 1st December 2025.
