Senior Procurement Manager - Interim | Indirect | Negotiable Day Rate | Hybrid | S. Yorkshire (UK)
We're partnering with a leading manufacturing company to appoint a Senior Procurement Manager to lead indirect procurement on a major capital project.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the end-to-end procurement function across facilities, construction, IT, logistics, and professional services-from early sourcing strategy through to contract execution and supplier performance.

6-Month Contract with Extension Potential - Initial 6-month contract with strong opportunity to extend based on project delivery and performance.
Influence at Leadership Level - Report directly to the Senior Category Manager and work closely with engineering, operations, and finance leadership.
What you'll be doing:
1. Own the sourcing strategy - Define and implement procurement strategies aligned with tight project timelines and budgets across multiple indirect categories
2. Lead high-value tenders - Run RFx processes, negotiations, and contract execution for facilities, construction, IT, logistics, and professional services
3. Manage risk and compliance - Ensure adherence to procurement governance, Delegation of Authority, and audit requirements while maintaining robust risk mitigation plans
4. Drive cost efficiency - Deliver cost savings and optimize supplier agreements across the project lifecycle
5. Collaborate cross-functionally - Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with project objectives
6. Track and report performance - Maintain supplier performance metrics, accurate procurement records, and provide regular updates to project leadership
7. Support continuity planning - Contribute to risk reviews, contingency planning, and business continuity frameworks

8. Proven experience in indirect procurement within complex capital or construction projects
9. Strong background in facilities, construction, and capex procurement
10. MCIPS qualified (essential)
11. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
12. Understanding of compliance frameworks and contingency planning
13. Experience in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments (desirable)
