Lecturer in Public Health - SalfordOpportunity Overview The post-holder will work in our public health team in the Directorate of Allied and Public Health in the School of health and Society. As the first University in the country to develop the Public Health Practitioner degree apprenticeship we are now looking to expand our team. The post holder should have the ability to teach across both the degree apprenticeship and post graduate courses. The post holder should also have the ability to take on a leadership role e.g., programme lead, supporting curriculum development, student recruitment and engage with the wider academic team. Interviews are scheduled to take place on 12th March 2026 Key Responsibilities Design and deliver a range of teaching materials and modules, as well as setting, marking and assessing workHave the ability to take on a leadership role within the team e.g., drive forward and lead one of the Public Health courses, recruitment and ensure excellent student experienceAbility to supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, PGT, field trips and placementsExtend, transform and apply knowledge acquired from scholarship to learning, research and where appropriate external activitiesPromote equality and diversity for students and staff and sustain an inclusive and supportive study and work environment in accordance with University policyAbout the School of Health and SocietyWith over 8,000 students we are the largest School at the University, with colleagues and students from all over the world.
