They are seeking a switched-on Asbestos Bulk Analyst to join their privately-owned company. Applicants must have a successful track record within the industry, as you will be expected to hit the ground running. It is essential to hold the BOHS P401, and further modules / qualifications would be advantagous. The successful candidate can expect competitive salaries and benefits packages. Experience / Qualifications: * Proven experience working as an Asbestos Bulk Analyst * Will be qualified with the BOHS P401 * It would be advantageous to hold BOHS P403 / P404 but this is not essential * Strong technical knowledge, including HSG 248 and UKAS guidelines * Able to work to set deadlines * Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills The Role: * Conducting the bulk analysis of asbestos samples, using PLM and stereo light microscopy * Receiving samples into the lab, processing and storing safely * Preparing samples for analysis * Recording results within the company’s database * Calibrating equipment and organising any repairs / servicing * Issuing result certificates to clients * Taking part in quality assurance checks * Adhering to safety guidelines * Working in line with set personal targets Alternative job titles: Asbestos Lab Analyst, Asbestos Analyst.
