As Director for Neighbourhoods, you will help us shape a safer, cleaner, greener and more connected borough where communities can thrive. You will lead some of the council’s most visible, valued, and wide-ranging functions: - Waste & recycling, energy from waste plant management, household waste, commercial/traded and recycling provision Street cleansing, street furniture maintenance and public realm strategy Grounds maintenance, nature reserves, parks and countryside, rights of way, green care, open spaces and tree management Community development & empowerment, community safety, ASB, travellers’ services Leisure, libraries, community access points, historic and community assets and cultural events Visitor economy, bereavement and registration Out-of-hours emergency response Your leadership will have a direct impact on residents’ day-to-day lives, creating pride in place, safer streets, greener spaces, and vibrant communities.
