What you'll be doing
To deliver Balfour Beattys ESA (Environmental Site Awareness) training programme across the UK, with the potential to deliver additional carbon-based modules and other environmental sustainability courses in the future. Course delivery will predominantly be in a face-to-face classroom environment.
To actively contribute to the development and update of Balfour Beattys environmental
sustainability training courses.
Provide training on a range of environmental sustainability areas covering all aspects of
environmental compliance and best practice and contributing to the effective delivery of
environmental services across the company.
Join a team of professional trainers to deliver Balfour Beattys ESA (Environmental Site
Awareness) training programme integrated with Balfour Beatty requirements.
Support the full range of Sustainability training activities within the UK, ultimately enabling the delivery of Balfour Beattys Sustainability strategy, Building New Futures
Development and update of training course material including liaising with internal subject matter experts to develop new course content.
Liaising with IEMA, and various industry and regulatory bodies.
Active delivery of these programmes in both classroom and virtual classroom environments.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for an Environmental Sustainability Professional with a minimum of 5 years verifiable construction industry experience in the field, that holds a formal training qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 Award in education and training (AET)
The following qualities/experience are essential:
A relevant degree or equivalent in an environmental discipline
Thorough working knowledge of current environmental legislation across England,
Wales and Scotland
5 years experience in a site-based environmental role within the construction industry
Strong working knowledge of the construction sector
Level 3 Award in education and training (AET) (or equivalent)
Valid driving licence
Proficient in MS Office Word, Outlook and Teams
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
Appropriate IEMA or equivalent professional accreditation
Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems
