About the Role
Are you an experienced and proactive Site Manager looking for flexible or long-term work within the education sector?
Complete Classroom Services is currently recruiting Site Managers to work across a range of Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in Barking & Dagenham. We are seeking individuals who take pride in maintaining safe, secure, and well-maintained school environments and who have a strong understanding of safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
Whether you have previous school-based experience or transferable skills from facilities or building management roles, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall day-to-day management of the school site
* Opening and closing school premises, ensuring full site security
* Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance (basic DIY, plumbing, etc.)
* Conducting regular Health & Safety checks, including fire alarms, emergency exits, and risk assessments
* Monitoring and maintaining heating, lighting, and water systems
* Ensuring cleanliness and safety of indoor and outdoor areas
* Preparing the site for school events, exams, and meetings
* Managing and liaising with external contractors
* Reporting and logging maintenance issues and compliance matters
* Ensuring safeguarding, security, and statutory compliance across the school site
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous Site Manager, Caretaker, or Facilities Management experience (school-based experience desirable)
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and site compliance
* Practical maintenance and DIY skills
* A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
* Good communication and organisational skills
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through us
