What You'll Do
* Lead with Expertise: You will manage a complex and varied caseload, conducting specialist assessments and designing innovative interventions that empower individuals to achieve their goals for independence and wellbeing.
* Inspire and Mentor: As a senior practitioner, you will be a cornerstone of our team, providing expert clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior occupational therapists and support staff, fostering their professional growth.
* Collaborate for Impact: You'll work hand-in-hand with our multidisciplinary partners across health and social care, championing a holistic approach to develop and implement seamless, integrated care plans.
* Drive Service Excellence: Your expertise will be vital in driving our service forward. You will contribute to service development, lead on quality improvement initiatives, and help embed best practices across the team.
* Maintain Professional Standards: You will ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and maintained in line with HCPC and professional standards.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a confident and compassionate professional who can inspire both colleagues and service users. You will need:
* Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Significant post-qualification experience, ideally within a complex social care or health setting.
* Exceptional clinical reasoning and sophisticated decision-making skills, allowing you to manage complex situations with confidence.
* Demonstrable experience in supervising, mentoring, or leading junior staff or students.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with residents, families, and multi-agency partners.
It would be a bonus if you have:
* Experience working in community-based or integrated care settings.
* A strong working knowledge of current legislation and frameworks relevant to occupational therapy in the UK, such as the Care Act 2014.
