The Multi Skilled Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving packaging machinery and systems within the factory. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of all packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform regular maintenance and repairs on packaging machinery to prevent breakdowns.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with packaging equipment and implement effective solutions.
* Collaborate with engineering colleagues to ensure smooth operation of packaging lines.
* Ensure all maintenance schedules are recorded.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all packaging equipment.
* Monitor equipment performance to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all packaging operations.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
* Provide training and support to production staff on proper use and maintenance of packaging machinery.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging machinery.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience within the FMCG industry.
Specific Qualifications
* Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
