We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Income Collection and Dispute Resolution Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £17.95 - £22.78 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Maximise recovery of all service charge income, debts, and arrears in line with procedures.
* Submit cases to HMCS for online judgments and monitor progress.
* Identify cases for enforcement action and liaise with legal representatives, attending court where necessary.
* Provide advice on financial assistance for leaseholders, including benefit advice and referrals to debt agencies.
* Handle leaseholder enquiries regarding debts and ensure recoverability.
* Provide a full dispute resolution service, liaising across teams to resolve issues and maximise income.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience of dealing with the public and providing clear advice on complex issues.
* Knowledge of service charge and major works recoveries.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve challenging targets.
* Experience of referring debts to court through Online Money Judgment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* High level of numeracy to calculate service charges.
