We are looking for a Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) to join our team at Cygnet Kewstoke.
Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides emergency admissions services for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation including a specialist service for personality disorder.
You'll be working 37.5 hours per week with on call duties.
Salary - £61,590 per annum
Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward. Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors. Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff. Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based. Advise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness. Ensure patients rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to. You are
Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision. Familiar with an in-patient setting. Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others. Open, compassionate, honest & resilient. Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans. Well-informed of the Mental Health Act & the latest nursing practices.
