Bring your experiences, your perspectives, and your passion; it’s in our differences that we empower the way the world learns.**About the Role:**As Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing dynamic marketing strategies for our flagship Advanced journal brand, with a strong focus on crafting and executing plans for new launch titles, and planning and executing on events, digital campaigns, and content marketing.You’ll collaborate closely with the Product Organization, Journal Editors, and the wider Marketing team to develop compelling go-to-market plans that drive article submissions, revenue, and readership growth. This includes launching new titles in Life and Health Sciences and expanding our reach into key markets.You’ll lead the planning and execution of targeted marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging and propositions are tailored to resonate with key audiences. You’ll work with shared service teams to activate campaigns across the most effective channels, including email, paid media, and organic social.A key part of your role will be identifying, organizing, and running events—from major industry conferences to bespoke author engagement sessions. You’ll also collaborate on content marketing initiatives, ensuring we deliver high-quality, relevant content that builds brand awareness and drives engagement.You’ll bring a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach, managing relationships with senior Editorial colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders. Your ability to report on results, and analyze data, market intelligence, and competitive insights will inform agile and long-term planning. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong project management skills. You’ll be self-motivated, with a broad understanding of branding, audience engagement, and marketing communication best practices—ready to make a measurable impact on journal performance and Open Access growth.**How you will make an impact:*** Executes go-to-market strategies for the Advanced Portfolio* Understands the macro market environment and competitive environment for a product portfolio.* Understands buyer and user behavior and the needs of researchers and authors.* Applies knowledge for effective product targeting and market segmentation.* Reviews market intelligence, market research and competitor behavior to understand what customers need and want; identifies areas where Wiley can deliver article growth and market share.* Has deep understanding of customer needs and pain points to develop and adapt marketing strategies for journal products.* Develops campaigns across email, digital and social channels, from ideation stage through to execution.* Includes the development of content assets in conjunction with the Content Marketing team* Plans and runs sponsorships and in-person conferences and events, including workshops and receptions**What We Look For:*** 5 years marketing experience in a large, complex organization* Experience working in publishing / other service industry with a customer-centric approach* Digital marketing experience* Event management experience* Strategic marketing experience* Strong data analytics and insight interpretation* Excellent interpersonal, analytical, collaboration and communication skills* Strong customer focus* Stakeholder management* Customer ‘Account’ management**About Wiley:**Wiley is a trusted leader in research and learning, our pioneering solutions and services are paving the way for knowledge seekers as they work to solve the world's most important challenges. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
