What you'll do
As an Income Auditor, your responsibilities will include managing and tracking fixed assets across the Dorchester Collection's UK hotels, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Your key duties will include:
1. Producing accurate revenue and statistical reports for management, including daily sales reports for three UK properties.
2. Performing daily revenue reconciliation activities according to departmental policies and procedures.
3. Highlighting and correcting deficiencies in revenue recording procedures and ensuring data accuracy on reconciliation spreadsheets.
4. Maintaining control account reconciliations related to revenue and cash, and managing intercompany transactions and balances.
5. Checking invoices payable to third parties to ensure proper revenue accounting.
6. Providing relevant journals during month-end, including for spa, florist, third-party restaurant revenue, and deferred income.
What you'll bring
Essential Skills and Experience
* Strong understanding of 5-star hotel operations in the UK, especially in finance.
* Knowledge of revenue accounting control processes.
* High proficiency in MS Office, GPD, Opera, Micros.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a large organization.
* Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is desirable.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in luxury hospitality or hotel finance departments.
* Familiarity with procurement and supplier payment practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills to improve financial processes.
* Experience managing multiple payment systems and invoice workflows.
