CNC Miller
* Annual Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
* Location: Southend on Sea
* Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week from 8am to 4.45pm - 45 minutes lunch)
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled CNC Miller to join a well-established and respected company. This role involves programming, setting, and operating 4-axis CNC machines (XYZ), as well as working with manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders. Due to expansion and the acquisition of a new machine, we are looking to enhance our team with a competent engineer who is eager to grow and develop their skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Program, set up, and operate 4-axis CNC machines.
* Work with manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders to produce precision parts.
* Ensure all machined components meet strict quality and technical standards.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
* Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues to avoid downtime.
* If initially a setter, receive training to advance to a programmer role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with the ability to program, set, and operate machinery independently.
* Familiarity with 4-axis CNC machines and manual machining equipment.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to work precisely and maintain high-quality standards.
* Flexible and willing to learn new skills to progress from setter to programmer if required.
* No specific background required, though experience in precision engineering is advantageous.
