Vehicle Technician - NVH
Location: Stratford-Upon-Avon
Contract: Outside IR35 | 6-months initial contract
Rate: £20.00–£25.00 per hour (Ltd Co.)
Hours: 08:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Role Overview
We are seeking a Vehicle Technician - NVH to support powertrain and vehicle development testing activities within a workshop and test cell environment.
This role is ideally suited to a hands-on Automotive Technician or Master Technician with strong mechanical fitting experience, looking to transition into a development/testing environment. Prior NVH experience is not essential, as training will be provided.
Role Responsibilities
Assembly and disassembly of powertrain systems and vehicle components for testing
Installation and removal of instrumentation for test activities
Mechanical fitting of standard and prototype components
Supporting operation of dynamometer (dyno) test cells (increasingly automated systems)
Conducting HV safety checks and supporting safe working practices
Assisting with preparation and execution of NVH and development testing
Maintaining workshop and test facilities to a high standard
Occasional support for off-site testing at proving grounds
Role Requirements
A successful Vehicle Technician - NVH will possess:
Essential:
Proven experience in an automotive mechanical fitting or technician
Ideally over 2 years’ hands-on automotive experience
Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components
Comfortable working with tools, vehicle builds, and stripping/rebuilding components
IT/computer literacy (interfacing with test equipment, systems and dynos)
Good awareness of health and safety practices
Desirable:
Experience working in an automotive development or test environment
Exposure to dynamometer or test cell operation
Automotive electrical or diagnostic experience
Awareness or exposure to NVH testing
Experience with instrumentation of components
Qualifications
Candidates applying for the Vehicle Technician - NVH position should have:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Full UK Driving Licence
Advantageous:
EV / High Voltage safety training
Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
This Vehicle Technician - NVH role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive technician to move into a development-focused environment with structured training and exposure to advanced testing facilities.
