Salary: Grade F. SCP 17 £31,022 - SCP 22 £33,699

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

Base Location: Tameside One, Ashton-under-Lyne

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Neighborhood and Family Help Team for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Family Help Worker to join our team.

In this role, you will coordinate services and deliver evidence-based interventions to families experiencing multiple and complex issues, families who are in crisis and require immediate and intensive support. The successful candidate will take a whole family approach and work across services to effect real change for families and ensure the best outcomes are achieved for children and young people.

As a Family help worker you will be expected to have experience of delivering focused interventions to families to meet assessed needs you will have an understanding of the different levels of need and have a sound knowledge of child protection procedures and Tameside’ threshold of need.

As part of the team you will work flexibly across 7 days (1 weekend every 8 weeks) on a rota basis working between the hours of 8am to 8pm daily. You will also be required to link closely with the out-of-hours services.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with complex families and have excellent communication skills which will enable them, to undertake effective family engagement. You must also hold professional level 3 qualification in a relevant field in child care and have the ability to build and maintain relationships with professionals from a range of agencies.
