About The Role
We’ve got an opportunity to join our Livingston bakery as a Labour Analyst. As Labour Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the workforce to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Production Lines. This role requires excellent communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will bring experience in workforce planning or a similar role and use your analytical skills to ensure attendance and payroll information is accurate.
Main Responsibilities
* Administration: Effective administration and reporting of labour within the Plant production functions, reporting to key stakeholders.
* Manages work attendance reporting (absence & sickness, overtime, vacations, leavers, etc.) ensuring accuracy to produce payroll upload.
* Contributes to internal and external audits in a timely manner when required.
* Assisting with key stakeholders with ad hoc activity and reporting requirements.
* Management of new starter system access.
* Coordinate agency timesheet reporting to ensure accuracy of payments.
* Workforce ready data management: Collects and ensures timely and appropriate data management for Cost Centre and attendance types etc.
* Promptly and accurately resolves time exceptions for factory-based colleagues daily.
* Proactively provide opportunities to the time management and payroll analyst for system optimisation and efficiencies.
* Work closely with Payroll and T&A for system changes and upgrades.
* Reporting and analysis: Provides reports and analysis about colleagues attendance and payroll information.
* Support key stakeholders to monitor and analyse forecasted hours vs. actual hours to enable broader analysis.
* Weekly reporting to payroll team for issues and anomalies.
* Effective planning and reporting of labour within plant production functions, ensuring data is accurate for payroll review.
* Updating daily absence reports for internal management information.
* Generate reports (hours reports) and highlight risk hours and pay period impact.
* Continuous improvement and recommending system changes.
* Communication: Work with Plant Planning to elaborate reports to apply correct decisions for shifts.
* Contributes to proper communication of processes and touchpoints, cascading through line managers to the teams.
* Continuously working with managers to ensure efficiency of time and attendance processes and providing training/support where required.
* Reporting and resolving (where possible) issues with the clocking-in machine.
* Communicate with the HR team regarding departmental moves to ensure accurate cost centre and reporting line allocation.
Who We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in labour management/workforce planning or a similar role.
* Experience managing relationships with external stakeholders including agencies.
* Strong understanding of labour laws and regulations.
* Excellent planning and organising skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and labour management software.
