About Marine Flow Ltd Marine Flow Ltd is a growing Scottish engineering company designing and manufacturing precision marine pump systems for UK, EU and US customers. Our products operate in demanding marine environments and are built to tight mechanical tolerances. We are entering a significant growth phase with new international supply agreements and are looking to strengthen our production capability. This is an opportunity to join a high-quality engineering SME where your work will directly influence product performance and company growth. The Role We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembly Engineer to take ownership of pump assembly and testing operations at our Stirling facility. This is not a production-line role. You will be responsible for building precision rotating equipment and helping to improve and standardise our assembly processes as volumes increase. You will work closely with the Managing Director in a small, focused engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Precision assembly of marine pump units and sub-assemblies Bearing installation and fitment (heated fits, retaining compounds, correct tolerances) Assembly of shaft and seal systems (mechanical seals, V-rings, labyrinth seals) Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings Functional testing and final inspection Identifying and implementing improvements to assembly procedures Supporting development of controlled build documentation Essential Requirements Proven experience in precision mechanical assembly Experience working with rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps or similar assemblies Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong understanding of mechanical fits and tolerances High attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work independently in a small engineering team Desirable HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or time-served apprenticeship Experience with stainless steel and bronze components Experience in small-batch or SME manufacturing environments Experience developing or improving workshop processes What We Offer Competitive salary (£35,000£40,000 depending on experience) Stable and growing business with international customers Genuine ownership of assembly quality Opportunity to progress into Production Lead as the business scales Clean, organised workshop environment Day shift working Location Based in Stirling, easily accessible from Falkirk, Alloa, Dunblane and the wider Central Belt.
