Specialist Speech and Language Therapists will join the Bank in BCUHB East speech and language therapy. The Bank arrangement provides temporary coverage, allowing SLTs to work across different clinical areas and sites, supporting flexible and adaptable delivery of high‑quality clinical care.
Main duties of the job
- Working within the acute hospital team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital
- Serving the community team across Wrexham and Flintshire
- Providing support in ALD and mental health services
* Delivering direct clinical care or supporting training and service‑development initiatives
* Providing sessions Monday to Friday, 1–5 days per week, with potential remote working
* Actively promoting equality and diversity, and supporting the ‘Disability Confident Employer’ scheme
* Collaborating within a ‘one team’ approach and shared systems

Qualifications
* Recognised qualification degree / equivalent in Speech, Language & Communication Therapy (SLT)
* HCPC registered
* Post‑graduate study relevant to clinical area at Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience at this level
* Up‑to‑date, relevant CPD portfolio
* Clinical supervisory experience
* Membership of appropriate clinical network group
* Other professional or academic qualification related to clinical practice
Experience
* Significant clinical experience in specialism area
* Experience in clinical leadership
* Delegation to qualified and non‑registered staff
* Delivering clinical education in specialty area
* Evidence of teaching within post
* Involvement in clinical audit
* Experience delivering / supporting practice / service change
* Delivering Practice Supervision
* Attendance on specialist short courses and advanced training in clinical specialty
* Continuing Professional Development
* Welsh / English therapy provision
* Project management experience
* Additional clinical or health‑care related experience
* Experience leading service development / improvement
* Experience in research
