Deputy Manager – Supported Living – South West England
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager for a supported living organisation that provides high-quality care for adults, young people, and children with complex needs across South West England. This role offers an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership position within a values-driven organisation dedicated to empowering individuals and delivering outstanding support.
The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Manager to oversee services that support people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, trauma, and behaviours that challenge. With a focus on relational practice, person-centred care, and compliance with regulatory standards such as CQC, the Deputy Manager will lead by example and champion a culture of care, inclusion, and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspire and motivate care teams to deliver exceptional, person-centred support
* Provide hands-on leadership to ensure high standards of support and compliance
* Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and promote independence
* Collaborate with the management team to meet and exceed regulatory standards, including CQC requirements
* Act as a role model, embodying values of compassion, respect, and empowerment
Candidate Profile:
* Proven leadership experience, with at least two years as a Deputy Manager or in an equivalent leadership role within a regulated setting
* Demonstrated empathy and understanding of supporting people with complex needs
* Hands-on, proactive, and approachable leadership style
* Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards it (Level 3 qualification with motivation to progress)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
* Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
