Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) is offering an exciting opportunity for Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our forward thinking Children and Young People & Families (CYPF) Directorate. These posts span three distinct consultant roles, offering varied and rewarding career pathways within a large, innovative, and values driven NHS Trust.
Our CYPF services cover a diverse geography across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and surrounding areas, with bases in Cambridge, Huntingdon, and Peterborough, and strong integration with community paediatrics and therapy services. CPFT is committed to compassionate, evidence based care, strong clinical leadership, and meaningful multidisciplinary working.
The Opportunities
We are recruiting complementary consultant roles, allowing applicants to align their expertise and interests with a service that best fits their professional goals:
Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist
This role sits within North CAMHS Peterborough, delivering high quality psychiatric assessment, formulation, and treatment for children and young people with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental needs. Consultants provide clinical leadership across community CAMHS pathways, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and partner agencies including schools, social care, paediatrics, and the voluntary sector. The role places a strong emphasis on collaboration, prevention, and keeping the voice of the young person central to care.
