Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a District Charge Nurse/ Senior Community Staff Nurse or trainee Senior Community Nurse to join a community nursing team in the Dunfermline Locality supporting the delivery of high-quality nursing care to the people of Fife.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of community patients.
* Lead and manage a team of qualified nursing staff and health support workers.
* Provide an accessible, high-quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service in the community, in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies.
* Function as an independent autonomous practitioner with in-depth knowledge and experience to lead and enable the district nursing team to provide a quality nursing service.
* Be the clinical expert who is accountable for case management and nursing activity within the caseload and lead, manage and support the district nursing team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Considerable community nursing experience is essential for this post.
* Candidate(s) must have already completed further study or demonstrate a willingness to complete further study towards a specialist practitioner community nursing qualification.
Terms and Conditions
* The post will be offered on an Annex 21 basis dependent on previous qualifications. Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate, which is dependent on the duration of the training period (see Terms and Conditions).
