We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Support Operative working across our two day shifts requiring to work five days in a 6 day week (Monday- Saturday 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm).
In a nutshell, you'll be the ultimate multitasker! You'll prep ceramic sinks for firing, ensure quality by testing materials and inspecting products, keep things organized with paperwork, work with a team to efficiently pack and ship sinks, and maintain a clean workspace throughout the process. It's a dynamic role where you get your hands dirty, put your eye for detail to good use, and contribute to the success of every beautiful sink that leaves the factory.
What you will be responsible for
* Production Flow:
o Set and strip clay, reset sinks according to SOPs.
o Prepare picks for packing as instructed.
o Efficiently stack packed sinks, communicating with other team members.
* Quality Control:
o Inspect sinks in spray shed before taking them to kilns.
o Operate the kiln and monitor progress.
o Test materials to ensure they meet specifications.
o Report any material issues promptly.
* Documentation and Recordkeeping:
o Complete paperwork accurately (Buller ring sheet, waste/good sink sheet).
* Maintenance and Housekeeping:
o Maintain good housekeeping practices in all working areas.
o Prepare pallets for shipment (banding, wrapping, labelling, stacking).
