Long Term Futures are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs at a specialist all-through school in Grantham (NG31). This opportunity would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, sports coaches, or graduates who are interested in progressing into the education sector.
You will be working alongside pupils aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional communication and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and small group support in Key stage 3
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Supporting pupils with structured routines
Assisting teaching staff with lesson delivery
Promoting independence and resilience
Acting as a consistent and positive role modelIdeal Candidate Profile:
Experience working with children or young people
Background in education, sports coaching, mentoring or youth work
You will have excellent communication skills, and the confidence to take initiative in a busy school environment.
