Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is two-fold:
1. Driving growth in sales of our training courses and fostering long-term client relationships with employers in the construction sector. This pivotal role develops client relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and coverts sales through strategic partnerships and targeted sales initiatives within their geographical region.
2. Supporting our learners to access appropriate work placements and obtain jobs in the construction and building services sector. Liaising with employers, and working closely with tutors and the Centre team, to manage a caseload of learners and provide them with employability and personal development support; ultimately to place learners into local full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Employers:
· Lead the sales process from lead generation through to closing deals, to achieve shared targets.
· Manage client meetings and sales presentations, ensuring a seamless process and follow-up.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients by providing outstanding service delivery, fostering long-term relationships and increasing sales.
· Understand client needs and challenges to shape bespoke training solutions that align with their business goals.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities by identifying trends and keeping an eye on competitors within the construction sector across the region.
· Provide feedback to guide the development of existing and creation of new training programmes, aligned with client requests demand.
· Working with employers to increase the number of work placements for our learners, and ultimately to grow the number of full-time job vacancies for our learners.
· Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective promotional campaigns, activity and supporting collateral.
· Working very closely with the Centre Director to drive sales in the local area, building brand reputation by site-based visits and having a strong local presence.
· Maintain the CRM database to record and review all client interactions, sales activities and contracts.
· Prepare regular reports to feed into the overall KPIs managed by the Head of Business Development.
· Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
Learners:
* As above, liaising with employers and working with the centre team to highlight appropriate job opportunities in the local area.
· Ensure learners are referred and matched to opportunities appropriately.
* Being the first point of contact for enquiries about jobs, for our learners.
* Support the Tutors and Assessors in the classroom with additional learning support when required, eg. through delivery of employability skills and personal development sessions.
* Compile regular reports to be included in weekly, monthly and annual statistics for job opportunities and outcomes
* Build relations with future employers and construction companies to highlight upcoming job opportunities.
* Ensure that the jobs boards (both physical and virtual) are updated with current roles.
* Track and report success rates for those students who have found employment at the end of their course.
* Develop contingency plans and support those students who are unable to find gainful employment.
* To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time.
Ideal experience:
· Working within the construction and building services sector.
· Proven track record of setting, achieving and developing sales targets.
· Track record of working with clients at all levels, identifying sales opportunities, presenting viable solutions and closing deals.
· Experience of supporting learners into employment, including delivering training sessions and employability skills.
· Working in a multi-cultural environment.
· Dealing with people from challenging backgrounds.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
· Excellent communication to build confidence and trust across a diverse range of clients, learners and other important stakeholders.
· Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
· Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands
· Good understanding of the construction industry and job requirements.
· Ability to analyse market trends and utilise data to identify opportunities and to drive decision-making.
· Proficiency in IT - being able to demonstrate competence of Microsoft Office (eg. PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook).
· Valid driving licence.
· Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.
Desirable:
· Ability to set and maintain Service Level Agreements.
· Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to meet client needs.
· Relevant in-date CSCS Card.
· NVQ Level 3+ trade qualification.
· IAG Level 2 or above.
