What You’ll Do
As the Installation Project Engineer, you’ll provide first‑line leadership to a team of Johnson Controls field-based Engineers, ensuring excellence in delivery, quality, and safety. Reporting to the Head of Regional Install UK, you’ll play a key role in driving performance, supporting strategic growth, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
8. Leading and supporting installation teams to deliver high‑quality fire suppression projects
9. Managing delivery, quality, and Health & Safety standards
10. Overseeing your own financial work bank and supporting cost optimisation
11. Coordinating engineers on site
12. Planning manpower and equipment to meet project timelines and budgets
13. Monitoring documentation, timesheets, and compliance
14. Conducting regular safety and quality audits
15. Identifying development needs and supporting training plans, including annual appraisals
16. Managing workload to maximise productivity and forecast accuracy
17. Monitoring budgets and preparing reports for senior management
18. Liaising with Credit Control to minimise disputes and support timely invoicing
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
19. Experience working within an installation environment
20. Proven experience supervising or managing engineering teams
21. Strong organisational and communication skills
22. Ability to build, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams
23. A full UK driving licence
24. Experience with Mechanical Fire Suppression systems
25. Ideally 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry
26. Good PC literacy, including Microsoft Office
27. Knowledge of LPCB BS12845 and/or NFPA standards (preferred)
