Principal Adult Social Care Lawyer
£55,036 – £58,879 | Full-time | Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
We’re working with a well-regarded local authority to appoint a Principal Adult Social Care Lawyer. This senior role blends high-level legal work with people leadership, overseeing three team members and deputising for the Head of Legal when required. The role
You’ll provide clear, pragmatic advice on complex Adult Social Care matters, working closely with senior officers, elected members, and external partners. Alongside your caseload, you’ll lead and support your team, helping them develop their skills and deliver a high-quality service. You’ll also play an active role in shaping how the service operates, identifying opportunities for improvement, digital innovation, and income generation.

About you:
* A recognised legal qualification (Solicitor, CILEX Fellow or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care law
* Proven ability to manage complex cases
* Experience of supervising colleagues
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
