Salary: £130,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:
* Extensive experience in AI solutions architecture
* Proficiency with AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, and open-source AI/ML stacks
* Strong understanding of AI lifecycle standards and guardrails
* Ability to embed secure development practices and advise on risk management
* Experience translating central policies into department-specific guidelines
* Knowledge of collaboration with senior technical and policy stakeholders
* Capability to apply systematic and rigorous strategic analysis of architectural issues
Responsibilities:
* Lead the definition of AI lifecycle standards and guardrails for cohesive technology integration
* Embed secure AI development practices while advising on risk registers and due diligence
* Translate central policies into practical tools and guidance specific to the department
* Engage with Other Government Departments and cross-HMG forums for alignment with national standards
* Establish and maintain secure-by-design and explainability guardrails for AI systems
* Provide enterprise-level architectural governance for AI pilots, ensuring compliance and integration
* Collaborate with senior managers to align AI development with public outcomes and service transformation
