Job Overview
Join a dynamic logistics team delivering excellence in a major UK infrastructure project. As a Construction Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee material distribution across construction areas, ensuring timely and safe delivery to support project milestones. Reporting to the Construction Logistics Lead, you will act as the key liaison between delivery, construction, and logistics teams, resolving challenges and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate end-to-end material distribution from the initial delivery point to construction areas.
* Act as the primary point of contact for consignment teams, security checkpoints, and traffic marshallers.
* Monitor delivery timelines, safety compliance, and traffic management performance.
* Identify and resolve logistical bottlenecks to maintain project schedules.
* Analyse logistics data to improve processes and reduce risks.
* Collaborate with construction and logistics teams to align operations with project goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
* Experience: Proven background in logistics, supply chain, or materials management, ideally in construction or regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, rail).
* Skills: Strong understanding of distribution logistics, route management, and traffic control. Proficient in data analysis (e.g., Excel) and performance monitoring. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Qualifications: Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) are advantageous.
* Competencies: Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to build relationships with diverse teams. Knowledge of risk management and logistics software (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Office).
