Team Leader, Child Protection Duty Team - PKC13377
£We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our Child Protection Social Work Team. This is a pivotal role where you will lead and support a team of dedicated Social Workers and Senior Social Care Officers to deliver high-quality services that safeguard and promote the welfare of children and families.
As Team Leader, you will provide professional leadership, supervision, direction and guidance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. You will work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children at risk of harm. You will also contribute to the improvement agenda, building and retaining community relations with partner agencies and develop your team plan to meet the necessary improvement goals.
Lead and manage a team of Social Workers and Senior Social Care Officers within the Child Protection service.
Provide regular supervision, mentoring, and performance management.
Ensure timely and effective responses to child protection concerns.
Oversee complex cases and support decision-making in line with legislation and policy.
Take a lead role in managing the Tayside wide SCIM process as well as the continuous development and implementation of the Bairn’s Hoose within Perth and Kinross.
Contribute to service development and quality assurance processes.
Qualified Social Worker with current registration and post qualifying Child Protection certificate.
Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
