About The Role
We seek a Principal Environmental Engineer specializing in energy and emissions management to support atmospheric compliance, develop carbon management strategies, and lead related projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on initiatives including energy efficiency, GHG emissions, and decarbonization across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Energy Management portfolio, including ISO50001, ESOS, and energy reduction studies, supporting junior engineers.
* Identify and assess decarbonization opportunities like flare management, methane reduction, and renewable energy.
* Oversee UK ETS portfolio management.
* Engage with clients to ensure project scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
* Review engineering documentation supporting environmental assessments.
* Lead and plan energy/emissions management workshops.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree in engineering or science.
* Proven experience in environmental engineering, preferably with a consulting background.
* ESOS Lead Assessor accreditation is advantageous.
* Knowledge of atmospheric management, emissions legislation, and UK/EU emissions trading schemes.
* Familiarity with pollution control, mitigation techniques, and oil/gas operations is beneficial.
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to mentor team members and think innovatively.
