Joining TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in thecompany's supply chain and production processes.
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of themovement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials tomeet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supplyagreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historicalanalysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for laborrequirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked toparticipate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitorcost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
Your main tasks:
2. Full responsibility for materials planning related to assigned product line through managing all internalcustomer calls, and determining what action to take and communicating information as required to therest of the team.
3. Maintenance of rolling orderbooks for customer requirements, ensuring plans are kept up to date andcustomers notified in advance of any changes to order
4. Monthly & quarterly billings & inventory targets for assigned GPL
5. Ensuring that material and capacity feasible production plan is set to ensure customer orders are fulfilledon time to their requirement.
6. Review and resolve mid to long range schedule conflicts ensuring supply balance and improvedinventory, raising any supply issues or escalations
7. Introduction and management of drawing changes throughout the supply chain.
8. Updating materials plan in preparation for the weekly load meeting
9. Liaising with Production Scheduler/Value stream leader on any changes to the production or materialsplan.
10. Reviewing MOQs, lead-times and safety stocks with Procurement, manufacturing and adjusting whereappropriate
11. Attending daily PIM meetings, weekly load meetings with supervisor’s and management when required
Your ideal background:
12. 2 – 3 years of experience in materials OR production planning
13. Experience in SAP is a must have or similar MRP system
14. Degree level or equivalent
15. Highly effective communication skills in all forms
16. Good organizational skills with an ability to work effectively to deadlines
17. A high attention to detail with an ability to follow through on commitments
18. Strong numeracy and IT skills including intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Excel
