Digital Content Executive
Reports to – Senior Digital Marketing Manager
Based at – Brixton, London
We are looking for a Digital Content Executive to join the team and take our content efforts to the next level. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate content writer with experience in SEO looking to work in a fast paced travel environment.
Applicants should be strong communicators with exceptional attention to detail, good organisational skills, solid planning and researching skills, with a focus on producing excellent content.
You must be comfortable ‘rolling your sleeves’ up and using tools to research SEO, optimisation and keywords before getting hands on in the back-end systems to implement your work. The successful candidate will ideally have experience from the travel, retail, luxury or services sectors from either an agency or in in house perspective.
Role and Responsibilities
* A minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a marketing position
* Highly organised and a self-starter
* Enthusiasm for writing high quality content with outstanding attention to detail
* A passion for active holidays, winter sports and/or cycling
Skills & Experience
Content Editing and Writing
* Researching, writing, editing and optimising blog posts, product pages, landing pages, hub pages and other off-site SEO
Keyword Research
* Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis to inform our campaign strategies and expose new opportunities for our main content hubs, country pages, and region/resort pages
* Implementation of keywords into the copy on the pages, including within the headlines, page content, FAQs, in Meta etc.
* Strategical copy updates to keep the pages up to date
Content updates on page as and when required
* Keeping pages up to date with accurate information and ensuring dates are correct, including deals
SEO blog ideation, creation and updates
* Create ideas for blogs around keyword research
* Ensure that blogs that are ranking for keywords are kept updated and remain in positive positions
* Uploading new content and changes directly into the CMS
* Assist with copywriting across other digital channels where required, such as Paid Social Ads
* Assist with other teams during peak periods to ensure properties on the website are kept up to date
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation in SEO
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience writing copy and content
* SEO knowledge and keyword optimisation experience
* Great planning skills and experience in competitive research/monitoring
* Understanding of Google’s best practices
* Experience within Google tools and Semrush beneficial but not essential
* Previous experience within WordPress beneficial but not essential
* Team player, ready to utilise their skills to support the team where necessary
