Costs Lawyer / Law Costs Draftsperson - Cardiff - Full Time

A growing specialist Costs Team is seeking a Costs Lawyer or Law Costs Draftsperson to join its expanding Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex costs matters in England and Wales, supporting high value personal injury, group litigation and specialist claims.
The Role
Working as part of a dedicated costs department, you will be involved in a wide range of costs work, including:
* Preparing Bills of Costs for personal injury and commercial litigation matters
* Drafting Points of Dispute and Replies
* Preparing Costs Budgets
* Negotiating and mediating costs settlements
* Attending detailed assessment hearings and CCMCs where required
* Supporting internal teams across the wider firm on costs strategy and budgeting
This role offers exposure to large scale, complex and high profile cases, providing excellent development opportunities within a specialist environment.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Experience in a similar Costs Lawyer or Law Costs Draftsperson role
* Strong technical knowledge of costs law and procedure
* Proven drafting and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Experience using Costs Master (advantageous but not essential)
* Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently within a team
* A proactive, organised and detail focused approach
