Job Description We are currently looking for a Paramedic Practitioner to support our PCN GP Surgery situated in Bedford for the following: Job Title: Paramedic Practitioner (Primary Care) Location: GP Surgery situated in Bedford Contract: 6 Months Locum Contract Working Pattern: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Paramedic Practitioner to support primary care services within a PCN/GP practice environment. The postholder will work autonomously as part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in line with clinical governance and PCN workforce standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced clinical assessments, diagnosis, and management of acute and long-term conditions Provide same-day, urgent, and routine patient appointments Prescribe and manage medications in line with local and national guidelines (where qualified) Work collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, and wider MDT to support patient flow and care pathways Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to clinical governance processes Essential Criteria BSc in Paramedic Science (or equivalent experience) HCPC Registered Paramedic Completion of “Consolidation of Learning” / Newly Qualified Paramedic period Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Band 6 (or equivalent) Paramedic Working towards or completed a Master’s-level qualification in advanced practice or relevant clinical field Evidence of advanced clinical capability and formal sign-off by a clinical supervisor (Master’s level or equivalent) If you would be interested in helping, please get in touch!
