Managers and applicants must note that all secondments are subject to agreement between the relevant departments and therefore the recruiting manager must speak with HR before offering a job on a secondment basis.* Casual Duty Officer Join Our Team as a Casual Duty Officer Active Wirral is looking to recruit several enthusiastic Casual Duty Officers to support the operation of our leisure facilities across the borough. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with supervisory experience who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting active, healthy communities. About the Role: As a Duty Officer, you will play a key part in the day-to-day running of our leisure centres, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well managed environment for all customers. Your responsibilities will include: Supervising the operation of leisure facilities, maintaining high standards of service delivery Overseeing health and safety compliance and customer care Managing daily financial procedures Leading, managing, and supporting staff on shift Supporting services across fitness, catering, tennis, active play, and outdoor activities Contributing to income generation and operational efficiency This is a casual role, meaning shifts will be offered as and when required, including: Evenings Weekends Bank Holidays Work across multiple leisure sites within the Borough and you must be able to travel between sites to meet service needs. About the Candidate: We want to hear from you if you: Have supervisory experience within leisure, customer service, or a similar environment Understand health and safety responsibilities in a public facility Are confident supervising staff and supporting operational decision making Are committed to delivering a high-quality customer experience Are flexible, reliable, and able to support service needs at short notice You will work closely with Leisure Managers and Team Leaders to enhance service quality, improve customer satisfaction, and contribute to the success of the leisure service.
