The Role: We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in architectural steelwork to join the team. In this key position, you will be responsible for preparing competitive cost estimates for bespoke steelwork projects, interpreting technical drawings, and collaborating closely with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver successful projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural steelwork projects. Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications. Liaise with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and ensure project success. Source, negotiate, and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure profitability. Assist with bid submissions and contract negotiations. Collaborate with the design, contracts, and production teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Requirements: Proven experience as an Estimator in architectural or structural steelwork. Strong understanding of the steel fabrication and erection processes. Ability to interpret and analyse technical drawings and specifications. Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related field are advantageous.
