JOB SUMMARY We have a new Team Leader role within our Sudbury site! This important role supports our team there to ensure we deliver the best service possible to our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES: Within the role, the following are the kinds of tasks and responsibilities that will be included. Work with the Supervisor in order to understand their requirements and expectations and acting as the senior Metro Supply Chain staff on the shop floor. Understand our customers’ issues and help drive business improvements. Support the managers and other supervisors in their roles. To support personal development, motivate staff within framework of Job Descriptions. Optimise the utilisation of all assets across the operations. To ensure that all staff on site operate within all current legislation. Work with Managers and / or Supervisors to ensure H&S management best practice is applied, and investigations. Ensure staff act and conduct themselves in a safe manner in accordance with H&S Guidelines. Ensure site housekeeping is carried out regularly. Ensure MHE is checked daily before use. Support the team to ensure that stock records are kept accurate and up to date. Ensure operational activities (intake, put away, pick, pack, label, despatch) are conducted in an accurate and timely manner. Monitor and manage staff productivity and accuracy in line with customer requirements. Understand the required labour needed to complete daily activities and ensure that the resource is in place to achieve them. Cover for the Supervisor as required. For applicable sites: To ensure all staff follow work instructions provided, complying with our ISO accredited standards ISO 9001, 14001, 45001. To communicate any non-conformances within the ISO accredited management system. To raise any upcoming changes which could affect the ISO accredited management system. To follow environmental policies and procedures and highlight any risks to personnel or the environment. To ensure compliance with legislative bodies and local authorities. Health and Safety Without compromise maintain a safe and clean work environment. Report any hazards in the workplace to management immediately. Complete all training provided in a timely manner. Follow all laws and policies applicable. Customer Service and Our Way Culture As a team member, work collaboratively with Metro employees in a team-oriented environment.
