More about the role:
In addition to Night Care Assistant duties, your role will include:
* Supporting and assisting Deputy and Home Manager by providing leadership to the care team;
* Acting as the senior person on duty at night in the absence of the Deputy Manager and informing the Home Manager of any problems or concerns related to the home;
* Acting as a role model and setting the standard for staff in person-centred care;
* Providing support to night care staff and acting as a champion for residents' safety and dignity;
* Delegating tasks fairly to all team members and assisting them to complete tasks in a timely manner;
* Supervising, supporting, and assisting in the induction and training of care staff, within organisational policies and procedures.
Essential requirements for the role:
* Experience of providing support to people in a caring environment and understanding the needs of older people;
* Minimum two years' experience in the care sector;
* Experience in writing, reviewing, and recording care plans;
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent;
* Ability to motivate and inspire confidence and enthusiasm in residents and staff;
* Ability to provide coaching & guidance to care staff;
* Ability to lead and supervise;
* Ability to prioritise own workload and that of others;
* Knowledge of care legislation and guidance.
Hours of work: 36 or 24 per week, shifts are 8pm - 8am.
