Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer within the National Service Team, you will provide high-quality field-based technical expertise at customer sites across the country. Your responsibilities include installation, calibration, fault finding, training, and repairing customer equipment.
Responsibilities
* Perform repairs, on-site commissioning, servicing, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment according to company procedures, including on-site customer training when required.
* Execute upgrades and refurbishments at customer sites.
* Handle customer queries professionally and courteously on-site.
* Adapt to various environments and adhere to local health and safety regulations.
* Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly as per company procedures.
* Work overtime and participate in on-call standby rota as required.
* Continuously improve product knowledge through learning diverse products.
* Provide technical support via phone and email as needed.
Requirements
Essential:
* Good technical electrical/electronics skills.
* Minimum BTEC/ONC/HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
* Experience in a field service role, familiar with commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
* PLC programming knowledge and familiarity with PC hardware are advantages.
* Good PC literacy and organizational skills.
* Methodical problem-solving approach.
* Full current driving license.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Flexibility to work overtime and stay overnight occasionally.
