Job description
The Role:
1. Deliver one-to-one or small group GCSE tuition (subjects based on your specialism)
2. Work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
3. Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
4. Build positive, supportive relationships to encourage engagement and confidence
5. Provide regular feedback on progress to parents, schools, or other professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
6. Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE-level subjects
7. Proven experience working with students with SEN
8. Strong behaviour management and engagement skills
9. Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
11. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant tutoring experience is desirable
