HR Coordinator

Full time, permanent

We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly HR team. The successful applicant will provide support to the HR people process within the HR team.

Working closely with the People Services Manager and team of HR Coordinators, this role will take responsibility for ensuring our people processes are completed in an accurate and timely manner, so we continue to provide a great employee experience.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a varied and fast-paced environment with the ability to collaborate with the various teams and individuals. The right candidate will thrive on ensuring tasks are completed in the right way to the highest possible standard.

How you will help us and what you can expect

* Administer end-to-end onboarding processes, including HR system administration, compliance documentation, starter packs, and new starter/payroll inductions
* Provide administrative support across recruitment activities, including job adverts, interview coordination, system workflows, and recruitment reporting
* Maintain HR systems and workflows, resolving or escalating issues and ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time
* Create and maintain a wide range of Excel-based HR reports, including data manipulation, formatting and analysis; support the future transition of reporting into Power BI, demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area
* Coordinate learning and development activities, including e-learning assignment and completion tracking, training attendance, and induction day arrangements
* Support payroll and benefits administration, including administration of all MSC UK benefits
* Manage day-to-day HR administration across all stages of the employee lifecycle
* Support the People Relations team with absence administration and compliance
* Coordinate pool and hire cars for Company Car drivers as required
* Provide administrative support for employee photo days, long service awards, and wellbeing and engagement initiatives

Skills and experience you’ll bring to us

* Previous experience in a fast‑paced administrative role is essential; experience within an HR environment would be advantageous
* Passionate about data manipulation and data reporting
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly
* Ability to prioritise and deal with fluctuating workloads
* Ability to pay attention to detail whilst sometimes working under pressure
* Experience using Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Outlook and Excel
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Confidentiality and integrity
