This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading national law firm renowned for its expertise in insurance law. As part of the firm’s growing Property Damage team, you will focus on the Recoveries specialism, managing a caseload of Household and Commercial Property claims arising from perils such as fires, floods, impacts, and product liability. These are predominantly high-value claims, typically exceeding £10,000, with many over £100,000.
In this client-facing role, you will handle files from instruction to resolution, including investigating liability, reviewing and drafting legal documents, managing disclosure, instructing counsel and experts, and preparing for hearings and settlement negotiations. You will also support alternative dispute resolution processes, attend court, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout.
This is a great opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded lawyer to deliver high-quality legal solutions while developing strong client relationships.
The Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with relevant technical capability
* 0-3 years’ Defendant property litigation experience (Claimant experience also considered)
* Proven experience managing a caseload of property damage recovery matters
* Working knowledge of Household and Commercial property recoveries
* Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Enthusiasm for advocacy, negotiation, and complex legal work
