EDT - Social Worker

We are looking for an experienced EDT Social Worker to cover the county of Gloucestershire. Social Workers will cover Adults & Children's but we are looking for staff with experience in children's care primarily. The AMHP role is not part of Gloucestershire's EDT. The ideal candidate will be flexible and dynamic in covering shifts in evenings or weekends.
You will be based in the Emergency Duty Team, a small team providing an emergency out-of-hours service to respond to vulnerable adults, children and young people who require an immediate safeguarding response or actions that cannot wait until the next working day. The role will involve working within a small and supportive team of Senior Social Workers where you will be prioritising effectively and making sound judgement in a variety of challenging situations. The Emergency Duty Team works closely with other agencies that also work out of hours both in the voluntary and statutory sectors.
We work a rota of 4/2, 4 weeks working then 2 weeks off, which equates overall to 37 hours a week; however payment will be made for hours worked in a week (so may exceed 37 one week then be none the following). This role will include some time spent on site and is not a remote role.
Responsibilities
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and provide out-of-hours social work support for adults and children. • Prioritise cases, make sound professional judgments, and coordinate actions within a small team of Senior Social Workers. • Collaborate with other out-of-hours agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors to ensure timely and appropriate safeguarding responses.
Requirements
* A relevant Social Work Qualification
* Registration with Social Care Wales
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for a DBS
* 3 years of referencing
* Driving licence with access to a car
* Given the nature of the role, applications from individuals with a social work qualification and registration with either Social Care Wales or Social Work England will be considered
