The Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support children’s development across all areas, including communication and language, literacy, numeracy, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure each child receives personalised support and encouragement.
Your role will involve fostering curiosity, independence, and confidence in each child, creating a classroom environment that is safe, stimulating, and inclusive. Observing and assessing progress, and tailoring support to individual needs, will be central to your work.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
* Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
* Promote early communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Differentiate learning to meet individual needs, including SEND and EAL
* Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress accurately
* Foster independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
* Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
* Maintain learning journals and assessment records
* Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification
* Have experience teaching Nursery or Reception
