I’m working with a highly regarded national firm that’s looking to appoint a Solicitor (NQ–2 PQE) to join its established defendant EL/PL team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start or build your career within a leading insurance litigation practice, where you’ll be supported from day one and given real responsibility early on. You’ll join a collaborative and approachable team that genuinely invests in its people and encourages development at every stage.
In this role, you’ll handle a varied caseload of employer’s and public liability matters, acting for a diverse client base. You’ll gain exposure to high-quality, often complex work, managing your own files while also working closely with experienced senior solicitors on more technical and high-value cases. It’s the ideal environment to sharpen your litigation skills and grow in confidence.
The team is busy and dynamic, but there’s a strong culture of support and knowledge-sharing—so you’ll never feel like you’re on your own. This opportunity would suit a newly qualified solicitor or someone with up to 2 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in personal injury litigation (defendant experience would be advantageous, but not essential). You’ll be confident handling your own caseload, have strong drafting skills, and be comfortable delivering clear, pragmatic advice to clients.
